Ipswich & District Radio Club in 2012
During 2012, Ipswich and District Radio Club Inc celebrated its 50 years since the club was formed in 1962. To mark the significant event in the club’s history
a celebration dinner was held on Saturday August 25, 2012 at the functions rooms of the Ipswich Turf Club at Bundamba.
We had some club memorabilia on display, along with a selection of photographs from the archives of club members.
There was sure much talk and laughter about radio days – past, present and future.
Guest speaker was Graham Kemp VK4BB and he spoke well, including his many years as a radio amateur and his role with the WIA.
A sumptuous hot and cold buffet, including dessert, did satisfy the biggest of appetites.
